Road Rides — Morgan Cyclists
The Jacksonville Park Foundation has partnered with Morgan Cyclists (area bike club led by Harry Ford, one of our founding board members), to encourage cycling in the Jacksonville, Illinois region. The group has regular weekly rides leaving from various locations, as well as weekend rides and other events. Click to search the blog for updates. Download the application form for contact information and instructions on how to get on the group’s mailing list. All rides are helmet required, no SAG.

- Download, read, sign and return the waiver form
- Take the LIB online safety quizzes – Adult Cyclist (all three levels); submit certificate.

A group has put in trails on the east end of Lake Mauvaiseterre. Park at the first bridge on Woods Lane south of Country Club Road. More on the Jacksonville Trails Facebook page. Open during winter — please respect the work of volunteers and don’t use (and rut) the trails if conditions are muddy.

From Jacksonville/East Morton Avenue take Country Club Road, at T turn right on Woods Lane, park at first bridge. From Jacksonville/South Main Street take Vandalia Road east, at T turn left on Woods Lane, park at second bridge. (Android or are using Google Maps, the address might not work right, just follow the directions).
